Focaccia is perfect for your charcuterie boards this holiday season. It typically takes a few days, but this one can be made start to finish the same day! Of course, the longer you let it proof, the better the result!
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast and salt in a bowl. Whisk together.
Add water and mix together.
Cover the dough with a few heavy glugs of olive oil.
Wrap your bowl with plastic wrap and place in your fridge.
Place the bowl in the fridge for 4-6 hours minimum up to 48 hours.
Prepare a large baking pan with a generous amount of olive oil, then plop in your dough.
Let rise again at room temperature for another 2-3 hours.
After the dough has doubled in size, add MORE olive oil, dimple the dough with your finger tips, and top however you like (we simply did flaky salt).
Immediately place in a 425°F oven for 25-30 minutes or until nicely browned.
Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack to cool before slicing.
Service with olive oil and vinegar or use for sandwiches.
